Meet "The Cat Lady of Oakland Park", Florida . . . Her name and her identity are going to be kept from being revealed due to a viscous attack on her a few years back that almost left her for dead. The person who beat her over the head with a pipe is currently serving a 30 year sentence for attempted murder at this time. The Cat Lady's mission is simple and we hope that this funding profile and the ensuing campaign will help with her legacy. One we are sure she will never be well known for. However we can be certain that she will hold a place in Cat Heaven. Why? Because she has dedicated herself to service of these felines for over 40 years. She has given of her time (4 hours every single night of every single year, holidays included ) and of her own money, in a single effort just to see to it that her furry babies have been cared for. To see these colonies of cats who are summoned by her tail lights to come to the evening feast is one awesome sight to be seen. With the help of Stray Aid & Rescue, GetFunded was able to witness something that has been going on for over 40 years with The Cat Lady of Oakland Park. Stray Aid asked us to bring her story to our crowdfunding platform to help support her in the care taking of these fur babies. Her identity will not be revealed due to a near death beating she took from a worthless hood about ten years ago. And as you will hear for yourself, she has also suffered from a case of "Cat Scratch Fever" . . . Yes Cat Scratch Fever" is for Real!
The Cat Lady of Oakland Park has been giving of her own time and money for many many years and if you do the math, that comes out to well over 385,000 hours of service. And as you will hear she is spending $500.00 or more of her own money every single month as she has every single year and that is just to pay for the cat food! That does not take into account the money and/or the time she has given over the years for the gas, the veterinarian's care or for the medications. Nor does it take into consideration all fo the cats she has had spayed or neutered or for any other medical needs that were required to care for these felines. This campaign is intended to help fund her continued efforts in feeding and caring for these feral cats.
